wrecked yesterday cuz of blowout, now probelms
ok, i was just goin down the road comin from and old country store that me and my dad had went to to get a couple sundrops. It only about a mile 1/2 away from my house. well on the way back, all the sudden there was a loud pop and the truck pulled extremely hard to the right and off into a 7 foot did that was a very steep andgle on both sides, my airbag deployed outta my steering wheel but my dads did not cuz it was off, and i had never thought to turn it on cuz it was off when i bought it. so im in the ditch gainin my composure after bein hit with the bag tryin to keep the ruck from flippin and to make it about 120 yards to were it ends and just kind flattens out into a guys drive way.i put her in 4 hi and just kept it in second cuz a this point i only had 3 wheel drive as the right front tire is destroyed and so s the a arm so it just sittin there stck, but at least that gave me good diff action for the left front, and i had actually shifted so hard i ripped my b@m grip ****er completely off. when i got to the drive way i had notice the right side torsion bar was just hangin throught the middlehole in the crossmember and detached from the front where it keys into and push out back backward through the rear where its suppose to be keyed.Long story short my friend came and got me with his slider after i had burned my left arms tryin to put the torsion bard back in. but what im tryin to figure out is the proper way to set one back up. Do you lift the hole front of the truck up and out it all in and crand the key to the same depth as the opposite side which didnt get affected. It looks like there should be some kind of system that should not enable them to slide out. the front key in the bottom arm looks a liny bit rounded out. is there a link on how to properly reset them, what steps should i take first. guess numbe 1 is to find another stock dodge 20: rim, a newtorsion bar and maybe new bottom arm. chimei n here on this one plz guys.thanks

small country boy in tn+ no insurance right now, lol. i think everything is fine tho i jacked it up today and nothing seems to be wrong except that now when i center either tire the other one is toe'd out a bit. and also, in the holes where the torsion bars go, are there round rubber grommets that are the same shape as the bar??? cuz one side has one and the other,( the one that fell out, dosent. i just wish i could figure out exactly what made it come out. Ive never heard of one comin out all together. so my two main questions to you guys is are there rubber isolaters in those holes, and do i let the bottom arm droop all the way to the bumpstop and then adjust the torsion bar key to the same as the other side when i fix it? thanks guys

I thought the same for a while. Bad thing to do especially when you get older like me. Try to at least finance a car to get you credit rating up. You will thank me later. Driving with out insurance is also not the smartest thing to do.What would have happened if another person was involved?

In Canada, as far as I am aware, you must have insurance to drive a vehicle, and you must also be a registered owner/user of the vehicle you own/use. I would never want to drive without insurance, there are too many idiots out on the road.
Plus, if in court, it is proved that an accident was your fault, the insurance company will pay a certain amount to the accuser if they are found to be victims. I wouldn't want to have to pay the cost of damage to my vehicle, court fees, lawyer fees, and on top, the possibility of being sued or something.
To me, insurance makes sense. I'm a good driver (90% of people who drive consider themselves a "good" driver, lol), but it's other people on the road that make me nervous.
