Line-X or DIY chip guard?
I was planning on taking my truck in to my local Line-x this fall for some chip guard. From the bottom of the body up to the top of the body line. So i dunno...maybe 10-12 inches. Front to back, inside door jams, doors, top of rockers ect...
I love the look when its done. Hell, I'd do my whole truck in it if I could afford it.
He quoted me like $500 for the job. Takes 1 day. But now I'm thinking (my inner cheap skate) that I would look into it. I have read alot of guys doing it themselves but with the roll on stuff ofcourse. My concern with the roll on stuff is that it wont be nice and thick and textured like the line-x would be??
Is this worth looking into to save apx $350 or should I just let the professionals do it and be done with it? I usually dont cheap on anything but I was thinking meh...what the hell.

I did the diy liner on a yota when the stuff first came out wasn't really impressed with it. It was to thin a chipped if you looked at it wrong but they may have changed since then it also faded fast and looked chalky after about a year.now the line xi hear is great but in my area is almost twice as much as rihnoliner.I'd do a search and call all the spray on liner people in the area and get quotes if I were you.
