Right now I have a flowmaster 40 series single in dual out I had echo tips on my truck and I cut them off to try and make it louder and it did make it louder but not loud enough. Im thinking about getting the cherry bomb extreme to get better flow and a little louder then my 40. My only concern is when I come home at 3 am I dont want to be the annoying guy with the loud azz truck. Will I be that guy with the cherry bomb extreme? Ive been reading a ton on here about them and watching some youtube videos and they sound like there the best muffler out there and sound wise any help is appreciated. Also you t think I will see better hp with it? My truck came with exhaust so I dont know if I could tell a difference with my 40 from stock

 

i have an extreme adn i can say its pretty fricken loud, but if your below like 1600 rpms its a nice rumble. just dont goose it close to home and you'll be fine. i love the sound it makes, people always turn and look to see whats coming when theyre walking down the street. it sounds great. as for the hp increase, i had a stock exhaust before this and i didnt notice really anything, maybe a tiny bit but again it was very small if any.

 

haha I think Im gonna get one but just dont want to be that guy you know? My neighbor that lives behind me already hates my truck with the 40. I wish I could hear one in person but I dont know anyone with one around me

 

Run no muffler at all. I have Cats and the pipe ran out the back tucked under the back bumper with 4inch tips

 

that looks good I would for sure just dump mine are you running single in dual out? Anyone else have any input I know he isnt the only one with an extreme

 

Yeah headers to the Cats and all the way down to where you would have a muffler and i have a Y in place of a muffler. It rumbles when idiling and screams at WOT.
Becarful dumping them after the cab you give up alot of HP/Back pressure

 

ya I would just keep the exhaust in the same spot as its in

My flowmaster is in the exact same spot as where the stock muffler used to be. Does that make sense lol? So thats where I would just put the extreme

 

When you said exhaust it means the whole thing lol.... Muffler is what your going for.
Yeah most people dont change where the muffler is no matter what it is.
Some remove it some keep it some replace it, never heard of anyone moving them.
What made you think of moving it?
