If i ever get mine they would be flipped out 24/7.
Looks good OP nice pics those mirrors will bring any Dodge truck to life.
No need to have them sticking super far out like that!
I added medium sized blind spot mirrors on the outer edge of stock mirrors and can see everything as well.
The only reason you would need/want those mirrors flipped out is for towing campers and/or enclosed over axle trailers.
I'm pretty sure it's illegal in certain states to drive with your mirros folded out like that anyway. There's a limit to how far mirros can stick out PAST the widest part of your truck/trailer combo. Just something to think about and check on in your locality.
I've towed a bunch of trailers and have no need and feel there would be no benefit to having the towing mirrors turned all the way out. Granted I do not tow campers or over axle enclosed trailers....
btw.. I've put almost 500kmi on 18wheeler and another 100kmi on box trucks so I do know what it's like to see through large mirrors with large spot mirrors.
Dog - I had the same spot mirrors on my sports and they helped a lot. I don't run the new ones flipped up cause there's no need for it unless towing, plus they stick out far enough when folded down. To me...the tow mirrors just look better over the sport style.
This made me want some tow mirrors. Just won a pair on eBay. Factory mopar power and heated. Picked em up for 265.50. That includes shipping of $ 18.00. Pretty excited, esp since these go for 400 plus every where.
