Default Next 4.7 Mod: E-Fan or Headers???

Right now im in the process of getting my 08 intake manifold ready to install just waiting on adapters and 70mm tb. I cant decide which would be the best mod to go with next as they are pretty close to the same price. Im looking at the gibson shorty headers only bc thats about all i can find for an 07 4.7. would really love to get some pacesetter long tube but cant find em, or i can go with the flex a lite 183 e-fan. The only downside to the headers is that the tubes are only 1.5" was hoping to get at least 1.75+. Anyway questions, concerns, or comments.

going to more power or more mpg?

Id say just the fan. get a bit of a perk on hp, alot less parasitic drag on the smaller v8, i bet theres a bigger gain in the 4.7 then the 5.7 thus getting better mpg. Cant see myself spending alot of cash on headers for little gain. Its a 4.7 more or less geared for mpg then hp.

I would agree, get the fan. I have been researching headers, and I've basically come to the conclusion that shorties don't give much of a gain. If you want them for the sound, that'd probably be good, but I don't think you'll see much else. The fan has some good documented gains for both mpg and hp, so I'd probably go that route.

Also I just switched over a tab and looked a bit, found some pacesetter LT's that say they fit your 4.7
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pacesetter-7...54b2fa&vxp=mtr

I would consider those... I think they will sound great and you will see some nice gains.

I've never heard of longtubes for the 4.7 without getting them custom built. That ebay post is for a hemi, the ebay compatibility search is wrong (look at the notes on the left).
I found a decent mid-range gain from my short tubes (JBA, another option for you), but I had already done the Y-pipe mod, cat-back, Intake...
E-fan is a good one as well, better for low end power than the shorties...

E-fan first unless you are just really trying to make it louder and a lil faster
