I like the idea of the 2000 grit and clear coat, that seems like a pretty sweet solution. My headlights are fine but if they ever get tarnished that's what I will try.
The silverstar ultra 4100ks are the brightest ive had on mine. but those look alikes are garbage. Putting tinting on the bulb does nothing but take away from light output, and adding a minor amount of color. All these colored bulbs are all fancy named marketing ploys. It seems the fancier the name, the worse the light output.
The next thing in lights will be those HIR's Id love to get a set to fit into the ram, Ive read you can augment the mount tabs on the HIR bulbs to fit into our fog lights.

I can guarantee you that when done properly, they come out just like the day the plastic was cast. It really was amazing. Try it on an old junker headlight first to make sure it will work for you, but I'm telling you it works great.
My girlfriends grandpa was a car bodywork expert man and he did this all the time to old caravans and even with his own '99 caravan. You always see old caravans with yellow headlight lenses. Bleh.
Edit: I seem to remember us doing 2-3 coats after sanding.
