Default Mystery Switch on my dash

Hey Guys,
I recently bought a 2008 Dodge ram 1500 SLT 5.7 HEMI.
It’s got a bunch of upgrades all of which I have found a purpose for except one. I have a push button on my dash (Clearly after-market) with the letters PIAA printed on it. Naturally I searched and found that PIAA is a lighting company (this made sense as I have upgraded head lights) but upon inspection they do nothing to my lights.
I’ve tried to trace the wire but I get lost at the firewall transfer in to the engine box. Does anyone have suggestions or ideas as to what this switch controls? or how I could find out?
I could SWEAR I feel a performance increase when the light on the switch is green but this might just be a placebo effect as I’ve not owned a truck before let alone one this size (although I have been around them a fair bit)

Any help is appreciated!
Thanks.

The previous owner most likely had PIAA lights on the trucks somewhere, check behind the grill as it is a very popular spot on our trucks to mount them.He also may have had a light bar on the front of the truck as well.

Yeah I’ve checked that out cause it was the first thing that I found. I have PIAA head lamps, no question. But this button does absolutely nothing to those lights. Is it possible to mod a switch like that to manipulate another part of the engine for performance purposes?

No. PO had some sort of auxiliary lights. Probably got taken off before you bought it.

Was that a spaceballs reference?!? Faaaantastic. To the OP, yeah the lights probably just got removed before you bought it if you cant find them anywhere. Perfect opportunity to add some back! Get yourself some hella grill lights or something, that'd be sweet.

Agree on aux lights that were probably removed. PO could have even had a bull bar or grill guard or something that had lights mounted to it. There should be some evidence of wires around the grill area that lead to nowhere, unless they went through the trouble to remove more than they had to.
