For all of you interest in more MPGs
I'm a frequent cruiser of Jalopnik and I saw an article for these today: http://www.gaspods.com/gaspod-details.html. Don't know if they would work on our trucks but they are looking for guinea pigs... I mean testers. You get 40% off if you're a tester. They cost between 100-150 bucks though. Anyone wanna try them and see how they work? Lol.
Good idea, but holy god. Even if I don't want custom paInted GasPods, it's still $100, and they say it's "luck of the draw." meaning you won't always get a full set of the same color!
Most testimonials on there say they saved a few dollars here and there. Taking that into consideration, I'd have to fill up 40ish times to see a return on GasPods. That's about 2-3 years for me.
Kinda neat though. Good find!

Yes they did, but the entire car had to be covered, not just a line going down the side. They used the physics of a golf ball on that one. These just try and channel the air straight. I can get a drastic change in MPG just by letting off the gas pedal slightly while driving. Like today, I tried my best to get good gas mileage on my trip to the north GA mountains. I ended up getting 18.7 MPG by being very light on the gas compared to my normal every day driving of 13.2 MPG.
Well I see more and more semi's coming into my work with these things on there trucks. I have asked some of them if they work and most of them claim about 1 more mpg. Now that doesn't seem much but if you drive like they do, it may add up.
Well I have a bed cover and the tailgate spoiler so it might do something. Who knows. But I'm not gonna be the guinea pig lol
