Default Looking at trading for a early xmas present

I am not really new here just dont post very often. I am looking at trading my truck in for a new truck and wanted to get some opinions and see what everyone opinion is and difference I might expect.

Currently have: 03 Dodge 1500 st reg cab 4.7 v8 2wd 180k miles. Cherry bomb extreme dumped under bed and custom sound system. Truck is debaged, has a shaved tailgate handle, and the darkest tint legal.

What im looking at: 08 Dodge 1500 mega cab 5.7 hem 125k milesi. It is all stock but comes with power rear window, infiniti sound system, and powered everything. There asking $10,999.000 got them to $9,999.00.

From what I can find that is a good price. What I can notice is going from my sound system (morel speakers custom designed for my current truck) will not be as good as infiniti system. I have never owned a hemi or worked on one so I have no idea how difficult it can be but I do all maintenance outside of the transmission on my own. I have done a search and cant find anywhere what king of mpg to expect from this truck I see some dealers listing as high as 15 mph city and some as low as 8mpg city and I understand it a lot depends on how you drive and its maintained just looking for a good rough estimate.

Is it a 4x4, does it have stock size tires and if not has it been regeared? These factors play an important role in MPG's. If MPG's are very important than you might not want to look at getting a Mega Cab. My mileage sucks but I love the truck so much I don't really care all that much. I get compliments everywhere I go.

The infinity speakers are not all that great. I had a 2008 with the infinity sound system and it made things so complicated when I put my aftermarket radio in. But if you are going to get a quad cab, the mega cab is the way to go. They are so roomy and look good on the outside. I would try to inspect everything on the truck and try to point out anything that would cause you to have to spend money to fix. You might be able to get them down a little lower.

I'm guessing it's that cheap because of the miles but still that is REALLY cheap for a Mega Cab. I would be a little worried that something is wrong personally. But if the price is only that low because of the miles then you got yourself a good deal there. But I'm assuming since your 03 has 180k you put alot of miles on your truck so MPG wise you'll be disappointed with the Mega but you can easily get over 200k on these Hemi's as long as they're taken care of

Good price for that IMO.

As far as mpg...i get about 12-13 in the city and if i'm doing 70 mph or more... but cruising at 50-60 i get around 17-19

I have owned three dodge rams, 06 hemi, 08 4.7, and now my 06 mega cab... the mega cab gets the worst gas mileage of the 3 but by far my favorite vehicle i have ever owned...hands down...I'll never go back to a regular sized truck..
