Default what size wheel should i get???

So i have a few questions on what wheel size to get? its goes on from a previous post i had.

i have been kicking around putting new wheels and tires on my truck. the wheels i have on there now are a 20in wheel (was on there when i bought the truck, and dont like them very much). stock the truck came with a 17in wheel with a P265/75R17 tire which turn out to be roughly 31.5" tall. (correct me if im wrong on anything! wont hurt my feelings) so i thought about going to 17in wheel but maybe a taller tire to fit the wheel well a bit more, maybe a 33".

let me tell you a bit about what i do with my truck. i do probably 90% highway/around town/freeway driving. the other 10% is minimal "off-roading". evreybody has different definitions/opinions of what that is, for me its just simply driving on a dirt road having a little fun, nothing crazy considering i cant afford to have anything break lol. where i live there are all kinds of terrain. mountain roads/rocky/sand/gravel/snow/wet/mud.

Also in that 10% is towing. i have 19' boat i tow maybe 2-3 times a month (maybe more some months).

i am looking at the ATX ledge wheels and maybe the Nitto Trail Graapler. (opinions on these??)

So with all that being said, what do you guys think i should go with?? i am also worried about gas mileage. right now i get between 9.6-11. (i do drive with a heavy foot most of the time haha) will a smaller wheel but bigger tire get me worse mileage and be worse for me with everything else i do??

I know its alot and i appreciate any and all input. i like to get other peoples perspectives before i do anything!!

Generally switching to a smaller wheel size even with a larger tire size will net you a gain in MPGs. Tires don't weigh nearly as much as wheels. So going from 20s to 17s made of the same, if not lighter, material will put you up in gas mileage. If I had a 35/12.5R20 and a 35/12.5R17 the R17 would net me better mileage due to weigh decrease.

correct me if im wrong, but with a taller tire, with it have to do more rotations, wont my mileage go down?

Correct me if I'm wrong (which happens a lot, don't worry) but I think he was referring to if you had the same rubber on two different rims. 17" rims will gain some minimal MPGs, but not enough to warrant buying 17s and taking the 20s off.

I'm saying If you had a 33" tire on a 20" wheel and you switched to a 35" tire with a 17" wheel, assuming they are the same tire just a bigger size. Then you'll see either no gains or a slight increase in MPG but it shouldn't go down I believe.
