The 08 intake is true. That's the main thing they changed on it on 08 to bump it up to 310 HP from 235. As for headers I believe you are kinda limited. I don't remember to what though

The only thing I remember was that long tubes were'nt available for 4.7's. Maybe that has changed by now

I wish they made an intake for the 5.7 that would boost horsepower by 75. I'd buy one in a minute

The '02 4.7 HO intake also has short runners and would be a good option if you came across one cheap. I know the '08s are a bit pricey...

Can't remember where I read/heard it (might have been on here), but someone was saying that the 4.7 benefits more from shortys than long tubes, which is probably why no one makes them for it. I know the Hemi is the opposite. As far as shortys go, Gibson or JBA can be found all over the place. I'd recommend shelling out the extra $$$ for ceramic-coated, though.

The '08-up intake manifold has a different mounting pattern for the throttle body (4 bolts vs. 3). You'll need to purchase an adapter. AirRam is about the only game in town in that regard, I think. Here's the link: http://www.airram.com/product.php?ca...productid=1341

Both those mods are in my future plans, just need to secure the funds first

Where did you get the information that shorties don't benefit the Hemi engine. I've seen much information on here from dyno runs, and have yet to see one that tops my dyno run with my shorties, as far as torque goes. So just remember, it's what you're looking for that matters. Long tubes serve a purpose, but short tubes also serve a purpose. My truck makes less HP with shorties but better torque numbers, and as far as I'm concerned, when moving a heavy truck, torque is where it's at. 300 rwhp...390 lbs ft rwtq These numbers were achieved with Black Magic Extreme electric fan, 180 degree thermostat, K-N CAI helix TB Spacer, magna flow hi flo cats, magnaflow X pipe Dual in Dual out muffler, and BBK 14 gauge plated shorty headers,2 1/2 inch pipes and a custom tune by Marty Fletcher from KRC performance. Ran at Beans diesel performance center in Woodbury Tn. If you've never heard of Beans, Google them and see some of the awesome work they do on CTD's

not sure if this intake will work for the 4.7 but for the 5.7 best intake ive seen on the market... called vararam. there outa texas and guarantee faster times with STOCK truck in 1/4 or all ur money back including shipping... i noticed a difference even with me already having aftermarket intake.. HUGE gains plus it looks like the old six packs:P

gib_son, that Varaam is nice; however, that pic...It's like polishing a turd..haha You could have at least cleaned up your engine bay before you stuck it on and snapped a pic.

When I was on Varaams website they only showed those for the 09+. Did I miss something??
