Default is this normal?

so you guys know how when you turn off the truck you can hear the oil "pinging" as it hits the pan?

I swear I can hear the same thing when I'm sitting at stop lights...

Is that normal? I don't recall my old truck (03 4.7) doing that.

Just wanna make sure something's not wrong with my first Hemi...

You're running a Cherry Bomb exhaust and you can hear oil dripping in the pan with the engine running at a stop light? I don't think I've ever heard such a thing and wouldn't unless I turn the truck off and crawl underneath it and put my ear on the oil pan.

its a 22" glasspack; I kept the factory resonator on to help with MDS drone. Its actually really quiet when stopped at a light. Makes noise when you start moving again though. Actually planning on buying a flashpaq and cutting off MDS so I can remove the resonator and not worry about drone.

so nobody else has something like this? its starting to worry me...

I just don't know if it IS oil hitting the pan or if its something else, or why I can hear it in the first place, never could in any other vehicle until you shut it off (not because of exhaust noise)

It is probably the exhaust, especially if you run the defrost and the condensate water drips on the exhaust.

^^^^^^ I have to agree with LX. I have never heard this happen on my ram, even when I cut the truck off
