Default Looking for a one ton...what motor

Looking for feedback. I have a three quarter ton with a 5.9 cummins. Am looking at one tons and a little newer then my 2001, and find too many motor options. My first choice is another 5.9, but which others are as good, and which should I avoid

Well the 5.9 is your only option untill 06 or 07 when the 6.7 came into production.. You can no longer get the deletes for the 6.7's I dont think.. I would stick with the 5.9

Unless you're talking about other brands the Dodge 3500 only gets a Cummins Turbo Diesel. Like stated in either a 5.9L (03-07.5) or a 6.7L (07.5 - present). If not a Dodge my second choice would be a Ford with their new 6.7L Turbo Diesel.
