Default What do you use zip ties for?

What is the craziest thing you use zip ties on your truck for? I have my exhaust held up by some heavy duty zip ties right now. And I have my dash controls held together by some zip ties while its getting worked on. Just would like to see if I'm the only one who uses them instead of properly mounting things.

Yeah. Duct tape and zip ties are the only reason my exhaust doesn't sag. Lol.

I'm surprised the temp of the exhaust hasn't melted them lol. Guess it depends on the type of zip tie

Well my j bracket is broken. It's more holding the two broken pieces together. It's not on the exhaust pipe itself.

Not really anything crazy, but I used them to attach my license plate when I first got here. I had the plate securely in the bracket where it was impossible to come out. When I took it for inspection, the guy said that it needed to be fastened to the license plate bracket somehow, even if it's only by one. I was the only one there, and when I went to get out and take the five seconds to throw some zip ties on it, he said I had to go over to the other parking lot and do it; I couldn't take the few seconds to put some ties on right there WITH NO ONE ELSE IN LINE.

So, I pulled around, pulled the temp plate out of the bracket, threaded a zip tie through a corner and fastened it as loosely as possible. The guy said I only needed one, so it only had one... flapping and rattling around dangling in the wind from a three inch loop of zip tie. I pulled back up (still the only person there), and when he looked at it and frowned, I told him that he said I only needed one on there...

No problems with the plate, but I still failed for my exhaust being too loud (by 1 decibel) and my tires being too wide. :P
