Default Viper or Mega Viper?

After a much larger tax return than expected, I decided to buy a built PATC tranny opposed to getting the rebuild kit. But, what should I get the Viper or the Mega Viper? They both seem very similar and the Mega is only about 400 bucks more, but do I really need that one?
Also, anyone know what they put in them in way of the governor solenoid and sensor? I'd assume that it's not some junky OEM part, is it?

Personally, I'd save my $400 and buy the regular Viper, but I also have zero plans of putting huge tires on my rig.

Form a realistic approach.....How do you use your truck? I cannot recall exactly what the difference is, but check the website and see if the upgrade involves and if it will benefit you. Either is a good investment in longevity, but value is dependent on need and utility. If you can get more value from the $400 difference by using it on axles, lockers etc., then that would be the best.

They do not use the OEM solenoids.

I do carry a lot of weight often enough. once I get the new axles and tires, I'll also be doing alot more off-roading. I guess that kind of answers the question, eh.

That's good to know, I'd sure hope they wouldn't make that mistake haha
