Has anyone made a DIY grill or insert for the 06-08 rams? if so please post pictures. im looking for suggestions on cheap or homemade mods i can do to my truck.

 

Are those a lot different than the 02-05's? Do you have the honeycomb or billet style? There is a guttah grille mod you can do that is pretty nice. There is a write up of it in the DIY section. Heres a picture of mine.

 

yea the 06-08 grilles are different and stock have a black horizontal billet style that is plastic.

I plasti dipped it, then i got some mesh from Home Depot and cut it to size. 2007 grille, I can get you some pictures of the inside if you want

 

I have the 2007 horizontal slats grille. I'm thinking of painting the slats chrome to match the crosshairs portion of the grille,or going body color. I'm not sure yet.

Anyone now how close the plasti-dip red is to the factory flame red color? I don't think it's far off enough to matter but I dunno.
