Default New lsd(s)

Hey all it's me again. I'm planning on either putting on Detroit truetrac or an auburn lsd. I'm not really asking which one is preferred (but please let me know if you have a preference), but what I really want to know is would I have to replace both the front and the rear? I don't use 4x4 much, I go mudding on occasion since I've been outta high school for a year now and pay for the crap I break. Anywho, would it be bad if I only replaced the rear diff? I know you can't do that with gears but please let me know about the diff replacement.

Auburn has a new lsd out that becomes a locker at the flip of a switch. Look into that. Also, you cant have a posi in the front of a truck, but you can look into an airlocker or the front version of the auburn I just mentioned. Those will let you lock all 4 wheels and have AWD but when the front is locked you won't be able to steer

Thanks but really what I want to know is whether or not I could only replace the rear but leave the front stock

As long as you leave the stock gears, you don't have to change the front. You replace the stock gears in the back, you must do the same for the front.

But seriously, if you're replacing it, look into what I said

Pretty sure Jeep's Quadratrac or Commandtrac has LSD on both ends.
