Mine has no rust and I can't say I've ever noticed that being a problem around where I've lived. Certainly nothing compared to what the old fords used to look like after a few short years.

 

I don't have rust on the Dodge Ram truck but I have it the bottom of my Lincoln Navigator. Any car will rust when you break through the protective layer. They are a lot better than they used to be in the past.

 

It would be helpful if you would put you location in your profile. Some people live in Rust Belt areas where vehicles rust, no matter what.

 

My '07 is starting to rust badly. Gotta cut it out, weld new peice on, grind smooth, prime, paint and clear coat the whole side.

It's $600 per side at a body shop. Bleh.

 

I had a couple of paint bubbles show up over the right rear wheel well this summer on my '08. It's since turned into a small rust spot.

I had it in for it's 5 year warranty inspection a few weeks ago and asked the service adviser about it...he just gave me a blank stare and handed me card with Chrysler's customer service number on it. I haven't called them yet, but I pretty much know what they're going to tell me.

 

I had no rust on my 06. It's been sold now. The stuff you see now as rust would have been welcomed 40 years ago. Back then cars rusted completely through...everywhere

 

Mine is just starting on the drivers side.

 

My '05 has it on the passenger side well.

The wife's 08 still looks like new, including the uncoated, bare metal underneath the panels and rockers. If a bureaucrat tried to put salt on a road here, we'd hang 'em. Seriously, though, when I visited Kansas last year I noticed Fords had the worst rust by far, but I also noticed a lot of 3rd gens were cancerous.
