Smile Performance Chip 2003 Ram

I have a 2003 Ram 1500 Hemi. I was looking to get a performance chip, I would really like to get some better miles per gallon. Better horsepower and torque would just be an added bonus for me. What kind of chip would you recommend to get better fuel economy? Any input would be great! Thank you for the help!

First of all they are not chips...they are programmers. If you're looking for more mpg, I'd suggest getting a Hyundai. because 3rd generation Hemis aren't going to give you much as far as mileage. The mileage thing has been discussed to death on this and other forums. Hemi's are only good for so much and most mods done to try to improve them don't work

Thanks, the name superchips is just a bit misleading. Im not looking for another 10 miles a gallon, but every little bit helps the wallet

3815 is older, doesn't have trans tuning (as far as I know) or datalogging. The 3865 is actually older now, but has trans tuning and datalogging capabilities. I know Superchips has a newer model out to replace the 3865. Since there is limited tuning ability and no trans tuning for an '03, your best bet would be to find a cheap used 3815. If not, there are some fairly cheap 3865's floating around. That's what I have, as I like the datalogging.
