What does age have to do with any of this? I was giving you my opinion on a tuner. If you don't like it, that's okay.

If it's just for transportation, then why do you need any more power? Is 345hp not enough? You might be lucky to squeeze out an additional 15hp and maybe 25 ft lbs. What's your gear ratio?

it seemed to me you were bickering back and forth with dirty dog like kids would argue who had the better truck, or programmer............ you never know the mud monster might want to go bogging someday, 345 is plenty...... i didn't say i was gonna buy a tuner, i was just wondering what everybody thinks about them, i might get one sometime soon, you never know..... 4.10s is the ratio...... and i may just go into the mod world, you never know....... i would like to get rid of these aluminum heads for some iron ones, but i doubt they make any..... headers are going on down the road if i can find a 3" collector so i can run 3" duels into 4" single..........had duels, not a fan anymore, that train has left the station.

With 4.10s the power gain would feel significantly greater. I have 3.92s and holy crap, it's a whole new machine. It's nice being able to change your fan on temps, and disable MDS if you have it. Also, you can increase the top speed limiter, which is an extra bonus, but I don't know how fast you'd want to take that 2500. I don't much care for all the extra add-ons, like cams, intake systems, an all that jazz. I just want to have a truck that feels snappy when I want it to. My biggest selling point for a tuner was to disable the MDS and increase the speed limiter since the factory setting is 105. When the MDS kicks in with an aftermarket exhaust, it's probably one of the worst noises I've ever had the displeasure of hearing.

i was gonna get one for sure if i bought a truck with mds, but i guess it didn't start till 06, and mine just happen to be an 05...... so now i'm not sure if i want to spend the money or not........ might though for a few extra mpgs, not sure though, i get the same mpgs i got with my 03 dakota with a 3.9. 14.4 around town. haven't been on the 4 lanes yet enough to know what i get highway........i heard the mds with exhaust sounds like a dying dog, lol..... kinda glad i don't have it, lol. i found a hyperthech for $80, they anygood?? i might go new though seems everybody on CL wants $300 for something thats used, and a new one costs $350 to $400 and i know what i'm getting.

that was the info i was kinda looking for.........how about power band? does it change that to? seems after 3,000 rpm this thing goes limp for power...... kinda takes its time getting up to 5,000. i figured being a heavy duty with 4.10s this thing would be wild horse.

It helped mine quite a bit, but my HEMI is different than yours. I feel like you should have better results than that, especially with 4.1s like you said.
