I received an official recall notice from FCA about two days ago. I will probably pull the fuse on the airbag until replacement parts are available rather than taking my chances that nothing will happen should it ever deploy.

Be careful with that. Your insurance company can refuse hospital payment if they find that out...and or drop you all together.

I am so glad I sold my truck the first week in October last year just before this news came about.
I would likely sell or trade my truck if I still had it rather than deal with this. I am not a fan of the dealer tearing apart my dash, scuffing moldings, breaking clips and then having a rattler box afterwards. No thanks. I feel for you guys.

I understand what you're saying; however, there's a difference between injury and death, the latter of which has been attributed to these devices. I bet if I discuss it with my agent and have it noted in my file it may not be an issue toward coverage. Remember, the insurer is betting on a risk, and in this case the risk may be lower if I disable a device that has the potential for causing a greater payout.

I was in a car wreck in 2008 that caused the airbag to deploy. When asked by the interviewing officer if I had been wearing my seatbelt, I responded "Does it look like I went through three rounds with Mike Tyson?" I sit far enough back that contact with an airbag is negligible.

I just got a recall notification for the rear axle pinion. Interesting...

Is this the infamous C clip?

Sadly, I finally got that airbag recall post card for my Challenger in the mail yesterday.

Now, I have to wait for who knows how long for another post card telling me they now have the parts to replace the deadly defective airbag. I'm betting at least a year or more out before I see that post card.

It's been over 6 months for the recall on my DD for the fuel relay circuit repair. I'm betting at least a full year for the part too.

Anyone know if there has been a "class action law suit" against FCA on the airbag recall? Or on the fuel relay/ TIPM.

You'll need to call your local dealership and have them put you on the list. My wait was 3 weeks. You won't get another card unless their system reflects you haven't had it done yet, when they get printed again.

Three calls to my dealership about the two recall notices, and still not a word back on either...

I too have called my dealership several times on the recalls. Only to be told the same thing. "They are waiting on the parts and none are available."

I am really starting to think that FCA and all their dealerships have some kind of part scam going on. Because some have/get the parts to fix the recalls and some don't.

And all of us owners are being played.

Lully POP, Oh Lully POP. I'm starting feel like a tootsie roll pop.

Anyone else feeling like a "SUCKER"?
