I stumbled across an 07 Ram Mega Cab and the guy tells me it's an HD half ton with 3/4 ton running gear. Did Dodge make an animal like that? I've never seen or heard of one and I'm curious. If anyone could give some info or where to look up more info, I'd appreciate it.

 

Yes, the 1500 mega cab was built on the 2500 frame and axle.

 

1500 frame and running gear was deemed by Dodge not up to the task of carrying around the megacab, so they built it on a 2500 frame and gear. Gets confusing for some people since they decided to slap 1500 badges on some of them.
