Default Pickup Open Carry

So, I don't know how many of you guys carry (hopefully all of you) but I had a recent run in when I wasn't carrying and my pistol was in my backseat, which is entirely irresponsible. So, some ingenuity, zip ties, my old cloth holster and here we are: (Note, I have seats from a 2011)
First off, what I carry.

Cool

Nice solution, & I approve of your choice of sidearm.

Nice setup. Jump over to Youtube and look up EJ Owens. He will show you several methods how to draw your weapon "if" needed from locations in your vehicle. Your location is a common one. There are several mistakes that could be made in a split second, but after watching those vids, you will have a great understanding and a few dry practice runs to ensure your safety with your passengers too.

Carjacking - The Seated Draw

Carjacking - Truck Vault

Carjacking - How You Can Survive a Carjacking

Gun Training - Gas Station Robbery

Home Defense - Check Your House From All Angles (a good one when you get out of your vehicle to your home.)

There are other vids too. You can get really addicted to his vids too. I only watch the FREE ones on youtube because ... I'm cheap on some things. ha-ha

I just put in a Truck Vault I got through gunsafes.com. EXCELLENT product, and really easy install on my 04 Ram 1500. Fit like a glove, and very affordable.
