Default 2004 SLT Quad Cab 1500 running boards ?

Can someone please recommend some good aftermarket running boards for my 2004 dodge ram 1500 quad cab.
My OEM had all the chrome peeling off and have had it.
I have looked on ebay for some and there are many to choose from.

I would like to buy OEM but way too much like $400+

If anyone has bought on ebay and have been satisfied please let me know the kind you have gotten.

I'm looking for 4inch round/oval either chrome or polished Stainless Steel.

thanks for any help

I've got a pair of Viogi running boards on mine I got from Amazon

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QA5WPSY...Running+Boards

No drilling, mounts directly to the frame, does not flex at all even with my 300+ lb brother in law standing on them.

They might have a chrome option available

Edit - here's their stainless/chrome option

https://www.amazon.com/VioGi-Fit-02-...MKD3K9CKAWBW2S

Again, i highly recommend them.

My 2003 has the Westin brand. It's the circular tube type with chrome. Well, the tube rusted from the inside out on the bend behind the quad door step on each side.

If the Westin product has not changed for being rust resistant in the past decade, then avoid them.

I like the rectangle ones the best, but as long as they don't contact the body of the truck. A crappy step can cause you to injure yourself in a very bad way. Those oval and round ones worry me.

But then again I have short legs and should really have a small truck lol

Westin steps will look good. The Raptor Series is a good brand also and less pricey.

I think Im going to get a pair of round Stainless steel on ebay about $125 for the set. Just looking to last a couple of years. My oem chrome just started to peel and look horrible. I wish I could get a pair of oem and just have to put on existing brackets but replacements will have to do.

By the way why dont I get notified about replies to this thread I have it set to instant email replies and I have not gotten any on this thread I started.

thanks

I keep looking on craigslist to see if someone has a oem pair missed a pair in Albany NY for $100.00. Need them by the end of August so I can get truck ready for winter in Boston.

Picture attached for the kind im looking for.

Those I posted in that link i put on my dads truck and they have been on for 7 years with no peeling at all. They arent as oval as the ones you showed but the price is right. The Raptors someone mentioned look great but they are $399 just for black W2W 5 inch ovals.
