I put my Vin in the Dodge decoder and no doubt it brought up specs for my truck. What I don't understand is why my truck has a Laramie badge on it but when I was on the page with all my truck info it didn't let me select Laramie instead of SLT. Also, it lists the max and minimum of each drivetrain spec, which I'd like to know exactly what specs I have. A 3.55 or 3.92 rear end is a difference I'd like to know.. said minimum 1st gear in tranny is 2.45 and max is 4.03.. Any way to find out exactly what I have in my truck without tearing it down?

 

Have your local dealer run the vin for the options report, for my 96 Dakota got a three page report.
