Recap catastrophe update
Well they relented and decided that we could have the truck back! The factory were real ****** about the entire debacle, but the dealership is reassembling now and with any luck we get it today or tomorrow morning. Ordered an aftermarket rear end assembly for just over 1500 and will put it on this weekend. No more dealing with Chrysler. It’s really unfortunate that they are so incredibly incompetent and unconcerned. DO NOT take your 05 Ram in for recall they can’t fix it and will offer you less than 1/3 what they are selling them for on their own lots!

Toyota had one for the Tacoma's frame rotting out. Depending on mileage, and shape they would but it back, or replace the frame. But they were buying back at dealer cost. If the truck was $7,000 in the lot for sale, you got $7,000 for buy back........ If I'm remembering it correctly, it was 10 years ago or so.
A couple of years ago, I was at a Toyota dealership looking at a car for the kid. there was a pile of rusty truck frames sitting off to the side of the low.
