By the picture, the inner is flat with a bend at the bottom. Shouldn't be too bad to fabricate, I'd get some strap steel and a use a vice to crimp it to look factory. I'd also cut it open first and see how far up it goes, because these areas usually rust from the inside out.
No it's pretty straight so it shouldn't be to bad to fab. One or two up. Allot of the rot on this thing is from sitting. I bought it 5 years ago in May it was 9 years old, with 46,000 miles for $15,500 with trade in. Interior is imaculant, mechanicaly sound. Just gotta get this rust under control. While the bed is off I'll get after the rust on the frame also, and get it all undercoated. Here in S.C. we have a vehicle tax every year, a guy I work with said his taxes on his brand new Chevy 2500 were $3,300, and $1,700 the following year........ So I'll fix this one.
