Default brake controller instal

Good morning. My ram 1500 has the blue controller adapter that sits behind the brake pedal. I only have the 4way flat. I want to add a brake controller and a 7 way pin to my truck. What would i need to do in order to install the 7 way pin?

Thank you

If you have the connector for the controller under the dash, then it's likely the wiring for everything is already there. Of course, the stock trailer harness left a bit to be desired, the connections for them were terrible, and notorious for causing trouble. Might wanna check your rear wiring harness, and see if the purple wire for the electric brakes is actually in there.

ok. So I'll need to look for a purple wire. That'll be the brake controller wire correct?
