One of the major networks here in the US ran a story on DW sometime this past fall/winter, can't remember exactly when, but it was a Sunday night, cause the channel just happened to be after a football game.

They mentioned the problem in recent/current Dodge and Ford heavy duty trucks, but never mentioned GM...

I've never had this problem with my truck. It's smooth as silk on the highway, and our highway has enough 'bumps'.... maybe they are frequent enough that if it starts, the next one stops it... dunno. lol.

They mentioned on the news it only affects 2500 and 3500s? I have heard of it affecting guys with half tons as well though. Any truth behind it?

I have had this happen to me when i was driving my bosses 2003 3500 dually it felt like the whole front end of the truck kept jumping off the ground and i couldn't steer it at all. The truck wouldn't stop doing it till i slowed down to about 40-50km/h he told me it happens when he was doing about 110km/h. luckly for him the water hauler started his truck on fire and it got written off so he bought a 2010 after that

The investigation seems to surround solid front axle vehicles only.

Although IFS half tons can have a variety of issues that cause front end vibration, a true Death-Wobble is specific to SFA trucks...
