Default Where to go off roading

Is there anywhere in the southeast to go off roadin just for fun where you won't tear your truck all to hell?? I've got a lot of farm land and mud around here but I keep hearing about all of these "parks" to go off roadin at and was just wondering if there were any around here. I live about 60 miles from Birmingham AL

If you're wanting to go off road and not tear your truck to hell try a gravel road. If you really want off road time then tearing your truck up is a risk you're going to have to take. I have taken my jeeps and trucks places where most people would not dream and I have paid the price more than once. I will say the harder you play the more likely you are going to break something. One place people go around here is the power line trail. The local power service has their roads to maintain their lines and these get rather muddy and you can get yourself stuck if you're not paying attention. Here's pics of a buddy's Jeep after he got stuck on the power line road.

well man, whether you find a place or not, the risk of tearing up your truck is higher offroad. i mean there really isn't a safe place for you to do it. that's why you do what i did and buy a piece like i did and if you tear it up so what.
