$3.21/gal on average here in the Valley. (Southern California) Went to Havasu Az. for spring break, and paid 2.71/gal it was like heaven! Funny thing is that The gas station I filled up at that was $2.71/gal was only about 12 miles from a station on the California side that was upwards of $3.40/gal... You have got to love California! [:-]

ok, when Dems were/are in office the taxes were all the same % for each person... when the repubs were/are in office the taxes stay the same for lower, lower-mid, mid class and then the % DECREASES for upper-mid and upper class... makes sense huh? wow!! maybve it should be opposite.. you know, tax the rich more instead of the poor?

Alaska has the lowest state taxes per gallon at 26.4 cents per gallon
Hawaii the most, 53.5
but in FL some counties add additional taxes like in Dade and Broward
When travelling down I95, once you get to GA the 30.6 cent tax there shows up right away
