man that looks awesome helopilot!!! so do you have to use that to start the truck now or can you start it with the button and the key? also did you do it yourself or have someone install? how much did you pay all together?? i cant wait to get mine!!
You turn the key to the on position and then you push the button or you can use your key just like normal. Installing it is easy, you can hook it up from the two big terminals on your starter or you can tap into your steering colum harness to jump the selinoid.

My question is. Once it is installed while the engine is running and that button is bumped will it spin the starter.
I know the straight wire to the starter would but does Dodge have something that stops this in the SRT?

I paid 40 bucks total and installed it myself, took 10 minutes.
There are two ways to hook it up. The way I have it, the key will not start the truck period. Or you can have it set up so that you can start with either key or button.
On the newer Dodge trucks, the computer is smart enough to sense that the vehicle has already been started and it will not engage the starter with the key or the button.
