reseting the pcm, help!!!
I replaced the stock intake with a CAI and did a highflow cat back dual exaust on my 03 5.7 hemi QC. The only problem is that I just installed the superchip on the truck and didn't reset the pcm or tranny when it was in stock mode (which I should have done after putting in the exaust and intake in ). Would I have to put the stock program back into my truck before resetting the pcm or can do a reset with the truck programmed to the tow-91octane performance that's currentlyin the truck's computer?
When you install the SC program it will erase all of the "saved" info that the learning part saves. You would not need to reset. But if you wish to do it just pull your battery cable and let it sit for a few minutes and it will discharge the system.
You can pull the cable while the SC program is in. If a dead battery made you lose your program SC would be busy replacing tuners all day long

so your telling me that reseting the pc with thesuperchip program in it will adjust the pc to the "added mods" (exaust and CAI)with out affecting the "tow91 octane"-superchips programs performance?
I reset the pcm on my 06 with the superchips tune in. Instead of pulling the battery cable, pull your pcm fuse and turn the key to run until it dings twice. This will reset the pcm and the tcm.
Pulling the battery cable WILL NOT completely reset the pcm.
There are so many guys on these sites that say that, but it don't work.
Buckle driver seat belt first to get rid of its chimes.
Pull the pcm fuse, turn the key to start and hold until you hear 2 chimes.
Replace fuse.

From what I understand, the truck's pcm "learns" based on how it's driven and the barage of information it gets from all the sensors in order to "adjust itself" to work best under current conditions. Resetting the pcm will send your truck back to kindergarden where it will relearn all these things again, but this time with the stuff you added to it. Pretty much like teaching an old dog new tricks by installing a puppy's brain...

yeah im with cable guy. Will it possibly result in better gas mileage or even hidden power if if do it bc i have flowmaster 40series delta flow and a 3" High flow cold air intake with a custom ram air?
The learning process will determine what you get out of the reset. If you drive it like you stole it, you're likely to get better power and throttle response. If you drive it for gas mileage, you'll likely see an increase in gas mileage.
