I just bought a '04 QC Hemi and have about 1100 miles on it. When I am idiling I hear a whoosh whoosh whoosh sound. But you can only hear it with the radio turned down and in a parking lot or if something is around you so the noise can bounce off. Or if you get out you can hear it. It sounds mabey like a belt?? Any ideas??? anyone else have this "problem"(don't know if it is normal or if it is a problem).

It just seems like it should Idle quiter? I have never owned a a truck before. Usually had a 4cyl eclipse, so this is a big change. Someone please give me direction.

sounds like your fan clutch might be stuck a little at idle. See if it happens when you take off, then goes away.

 

I dont think is normal, I dont hear anything in my truck when is idling.

 

It sems to go away when I start to drive away. but you can't hear it with the windows up. Only when your ouside the truck standing behind the drivers/passenger doors or listening under the car.....not so much if you pop the hood.

 

its completely normal, i have the same truck, i thought it was a problem and took it to the dealer...every one of them does it...

My 5.9 mag lost its Fan clutch at 23 k miles, made that sound until it finally quit all together.

so it may be the Fan clutch but if it is under warranty take it back to the dealer and make them look at it..

They have been real helpful with me and my warranty on my '02 ...

 

Now it's making a squeeling noise like crickets. This is really pissing me off I only have 1400 miles on the damn thing!!!!!! What the **** is wrong with this thing. This is a 30+ thousand dollar vehicle, I should have bought a huyndai.
