If I had the $650 to do it, I'd get gears before I touched a programmer. IMO

Gears are awesome, and anyone who has them (including me... 4.56's) can tell you that they really make it feel like a whole new truck. I have heard that the programmer is a great upgrade as well, so I will more than likely be getting a programmer for my truck, that is unless I decide to trade it in on a new 07/08 Hemi 4x4 with MDS before then.

for me i'd would prolly go with the programmer, unless your going to a bigger tire and have anything smaller then the 3.92....dont get me wrong, gears are a great upgrade but it depends what ur gonna be using ur truck for...for me i'm stickin with my stock 3.92, in my powerwagon with 40's i went with a set of 4.88.....all depends on what you wanna do first

How did you get 4.88 for the powerwagon when the tallest they make so far is 4.56 for the AAM axles?

Lucky guy... I would love an old powerwagon. Could crawl right up a tree.
