Found alot of usefull info here so signed on! 2002 Dodge Ram 4.7 1500 Quad 4x4 slt 20"factory wheels. I really like this truck, although there has been some issue's. 63,500 with no major breakdowns. I have found Dodge to be,"over defensive", and evasive on warranty items compaired to other brands. (had coupon to getserviced with 17 point inpection and they reported nothing, although the truck went in and came out with engine light on!)The rear end has been making noise when letting off accelartor(48000), power steering hose leak(1500 past warranty), terrible gas mileage even for mostly light footed city miles(eco avg.10.5-10.7), Had loud hissing under the truck and thought it was an exhaust leak, turns out it has a leak in the vapor evap system(55000),the 4.7 seemed overburdened the few times I pulled a trailer, Going on third set of front pads(counting original pads), the goodyear wranglers that came on the truck were flat prone and were bald at 32000(replaced with goodyear 305 55 20 Eagle GT II's, much better tire but bald at 63000, I have replaced the wide low pro's with Goodyear WranglerAT/S 275 65 SR20-10 ply, and in my opinion should be the standard tire for the 4x4!The truck handles and rides so much better. I was able to purchase these tires forless than 850.00 all said and done. These tires look and feel like what this truck should be outfitted with.So far the only mod has been flowmaster muffler(not real happy with the sound). I know I sound like I'm whining, but in actuallity I am really happy with the Ram!
