RE: New lights behind the grille.. whaddaya think?
I drilled a 1/2 " hole in the crossmember in front of the radiator. I measured out 10 1/2" from the center drilled the holes on that cross member. That gave me 21 inches between the lights. I actually wanted 20 inches between, but there were some things in the way that prevented that.

How do you have the lights mounted? Specifically the hardware/drill points.
I also mounted a set of lights behind my grill on my '06. I mounted them to the cross member in front of the radiator. I mounted them by drilling a 1/2" hole in the cross member 2" inboard from the outside edge of the front cutouts in the cross member so I would be able to get a wrench to the mounting nut on the bottom of the light. All hardware/wiringwas supplied with the light kit, all except the relay (I used a 40a relay). The lights are 100,000 watt Pilots.

Arn't KC's required to have smilely faces? J/K... I like it, plus saves you from having to buy a bumper mounted light bar... does it shining through the grill cut down on the brightness?

I put Hella 500s behind my grille. I wired them so they come on with the parking lights and with a switch to shut them off. I mounted the switch under the dash to hide it. I paid like $65 at Advanced Auto. The biggest pain I had was pulling the drivers headlight to get to the wiring. I really didn't like laying the extention on the bumper paint. I used tape and rags just to be safe.

how do you run the wires from the hood to the cab? and have you ever installed the actual Mopar fog lights? I have black vented things instead.
I just cut a hole in the boot that the wire harness goes thru in the firewall. Then after I ran the wires thru, threw some silicone on it. It was a little tough. I needed a wire hanger to fish it thru. There seemed to be a double boot at the firewall. It's a little tough, but it's not impossible.
