So what do you guys think about a small light in the back to light up the hitch area? I do a lot of snowmobiling in the winter. and at night it's a real pain in the butt to hook it up after dark...

well.. the fact that Ineed to be in 2 places at once to pushthe brake pedal and hook up the trailer at the same time poses a bit of a problem... Once I figure out that time space continueum, I should be all set. Or maybe if I could figure out how to get the sun to come out on command?[sm=smarty.gif]

I think what HighDuke1911 was saying was to wire the hitch lights to pull from the cargo lamp circuit and switch

Run another lead and throw in an all weather toggle... run an appropriate guage wire to either a small light or you can even run it to the hot end of the backup lights (just tap it inline), make sure that it is fused, and you can turn on/off your backup lights or the small light from the rear of your truck.

I'm stupid.. .I never even thought of that. Actually.. I like that idea.. I'm going to check out that light bar too. But I really don't want anything too bright. Just enough to light up the ball and hitch. I seem to see a lot of landscape trucks with a light hanging down from their bumpers.. and I can only imagine that's what it's there for..

There is a white 2500 around me that hasa pair of3.5-4 inch lights cut right into his rear bumper. Looks pretty good too.
