Was there a full how-to write up on this somewhere? I thought there used to be, maybe BlackAcid did it, I want to say? I can't find it anymore. I've got the lights and kit here and a buddy is going to help me put them in on Friday. Anyone have any other info or tips on the installation? Is drilling necessary? No big deal, I just want to make sure that he comes prepared with everything we'll need to get the job done.

Thanks!

A buddy of mine finished this up today for me. Looks great and works well. I bought a kit of KC Daylighters from an ebay store. The directions couldn't have been simpler, and everything needed was provided. The only thing was that the provided ground wire was a bit short. Spliced it with some excess wire and heatshrinked it, and all was well. No pics a the moment, but I'll try and get some tomorrow. My wife and daughter think the KC smileyfaces are cute... great.

Well, I have Daylighter off-road lights, so they aren't exactly legal, or safe, for cruising down the highway all the time. They do, however, throw some serious lumens downrange in front of you. If you regularly drive down lightly traveled backroads after dark, or you are actually going off road, then I definitely recommend this. KC (among other companies) make actual driving lights that are safe and legal for over-the-road usage. I can't really tell you how great they are, but I can't imagine that they suck (from KC, at least). I don't think you would be disappointed, unless you just want the look of a big piece of steel with some lights on the front of your truck. I'm into subtlety, so they work for me!
