i have a Dodge cold air intake, with this i can spend just a few minutes of my time in washing it out. with my CAI it provides colder air, which is more oxygen dense, to the combustion system, helping to create a more efficient burn of fuel.

 

A Dodge cold air intake won't void the warranty but will an aftermarket one void it?

 

No bolt ons wont void your warranty. Anything that is internal work though will. And if they give you any problems ask them to put it in writing how the aftermarket part you installed caused the problem at hand and why it will void your warranty. In all honesty though it is actually a federal law for a dealership to deny you your warranty because of an aftermarket part unless they can prove it caused the problem.

With that being said I love my AFE High Breather CAI, it really freed up alot of power and sound excellent with my borla exhaust system.
It just costs a bit more than what most people want to pay for one.

 

Ok. So an exhaust system won't void the warranty either. I guess it makes sense.

 

As long asthe exhaust isfrom the cats back, it will not void your warranty.

 

What do you think about running nothing but straight pipes from the cat back

 

You could try hooking an x pipe up in place of the factory y pipe and run duals from there. May loose some low end torque due to less backpressure (so I've heard)

 

i had it on my last truck and i was very not impressed. won't ever sound very good, lose some power and i lost almost 3mpg.
