Default Question about horsepower?

I just purchased a 05 Dodge 1500 QC, 5.7 hemi. I love the truck i just put a 3" magnaflow exhaust on it and just a K&N replacement filter. I keep looking at ways to improve horsepower and gas mileage. Either a programmer or CAI or even the cam. My question is simple. When i look on some of the dino tests that they do it shows them only reaching up to 300hp. I thought the Hemi had 345hp???

Anyone know what the HP is when in MDS mode? I am sure it cant be a true 1/2 slash of 345.

it would be really hard to figure out the hp while mds is engaged. Any load on the motor will kick it back to 8 cyl mode, so a dyno run would be impossible.

Who cares what hp it makes while in mds? Mds is to save fuel. HP needs fuel.

lol. no, i really dont think that they can measure the amount of HP in MDS mode... the MDS kicks in and out wwhen the RPM's are hit at the MDS in/out mode. and when towing, the truck notices when your towing... so itll stay in the v8 mode.

They would have to force the truck to stay in MDS for the Dyno run but I'm pretty sure that would be a lot of screwing around
