All depends on the gears. 3.55 has the lesser tow rating. Better gas milage though when not towing. CLICK HERE

The link works great. How can you find out your gear ratio that came with your truck?

 

look in your glove box.There's a sticker that tells you what you want to know.

 

Looked in the glove box. No such sticker! Is there any other way to find out your rear diff ratio? I don't have the original manual for my 05 1500 quad cab.

 

Go to Dodge website. Go to the "For Owners" tab.There is a customer service e-mailat the "contact us" link. Send them the VIN and request a build sheet. Got mine the next day. There is also an option to enter your VIN at some point. I think it may give you the info right then in PDF format.

 

this is for a two wheel drive...4x4 qc w/ 3.92 is about 8500/8700lb.
mine is qc lb 4x4 and 8300lb and i was thinking that the shortbed was two hundred pounds more.
