Wow its sad that you had to make a statement to bypass all that trash talk because you bought a v6. (i dont know if its a 4x2 but that doesnt matter either). Its a real truck. One of the best pickup engines of all times was a 4cyl in a japan built pickup.
I'm gonna vent about this because this one dork says to a car wash attendant today (while im at the carwash) "Careful with this, its got the hemi". And shakes his head like hes cool. So I went up to him after I finsihed drying my dakota and said "Wow, you got a HEMI?" "Yeah" "Hey I was wondering, whats a HEMI?" and the response is: "Its an advanced intake system that maximizes tq."
Woooow. hmmmm, someones got a small p*nis. for sure. I'm sure that truck has never been off pavement too...lol.
A trucks a truck, there made to work. I'd put money that I could take a 4x2 with a manual rear locker and out wheel that guy in his 4x4 hemi lol.
Put it this way, Id take your V6 over THAT guys hemi.

and yeah, it'd feel real good to be able to stick it to some of those hemis!!
lol. i used to have a v6. it is a huge difference between that and the HEMI, obviously. but you most def. can build a v6 to be faster than a lightly modded HEMI. im not hating on v6's. a truck is a truck to me. well, unless its an asian truck or a ford. so that only leaves GMC, Chevy and Dodge. lol. no, but the v6 has some power dude. but it has to pull a heavy body.
I know. My mom also has a 3.7 in her jeep, and to be honest, i think its a pretty decent motor!!! But it is a bit miss matched with such a larger frame. I mean I open the hood and i see so much space that could be filled up with engine! I'll probablly also lower as well, just to give a little bit better handling. Shoot, i might take the spare tire off!!! lol.
It's so true.. I took my 2x4 v6 Ram to Schaefer trail in Moab, UT and it did ok. Out of my 106K miles at least 20K were off paved roads. It's funny how many Jeeps and 4x4 trucks never see dirt. I'm a foreigner and I use my truck to see this beautiful country. So far it took me to 40 states and ... yes... it has seen a desert, mud and snow. BTW when I had a Jeep it was used accordingly - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6oB5wXCVWs
I guess it all depends on the driver
