So I am at a red light on my way to work this morning when a trans am late 90's comes up next to me, I have seen it before but never had a chance to mess with it. he took off on green so I did the same, I was very upset that he got me as bad as he did. Granted he has a car designed for speed, and I am in a 4x4 truck, but I want another shot at it, only on the track. I am sure it will beat me again but want to see how I compare to it. I need to look into the sts turbo kit. I have always had natural aspirated motors, does forced induction cause premature engine wear? what other upgrades would be necessary for the Hemi to handle the power and the transmission as well?

 

Get your PCM flashed by DC Performance. It will help you out alot. I did it to my SRT-10
and i love it. I'm going to do the HEMI next week and i can't wait. It will be $650 to flash
and $68 for the thermostet-170 degree. You should look in to this to, just to do some home work.

lol im a college student, freshman.....work as a detailer/salesman/yard boy/installer/or just all around bitch boy at my dads boat dealership lol

used to work at sonic sonic when i was younger, i made better money there being a carhop, yes, a male carhop...i averaged between 15-20 dollars in tips per hour not including i got min wage...i obviousely made more $/hour there but id rather be doing this. watersports is my fav hobby so the job was a nobrainer when the shop opened

 

lol. im a college frosh too! 19, work at Sea World! lol. yay! and i applied at The Home Depot yesterday. turns out they save your application online so when you apply again, its there and it takes 30 seconds! lol. so ill call them up in 2 weeks to see whats up! lol. yeah, $10.50/hr is good for me at Home Depot. hey, night_runner, i bet your getting paid pretty well though.

 

ya, actually this is the 1st year with our "dealership"....dad had a boat repair shop on the side and we like to say it "expanded"....lol...we have boats, 4wheelers, gocarts which are really 250cc 60 mph mini offroad buggies lol, scooters ect....were doin well, the 1st year though all the profit is goin back into the business so it can pay for itself......im gettin 10 an hour, but i have gauranteed hours/more work than i know what to do with....once schools out ill be puttin in 75+hour weeks, but i pay my dad 500/month durring the summer since durring school he pays for my gas, insurance, truck payment ect....but it all works out

 

Took my wife to seaworkd after she was complaining and yearning to go, actually I took her to the parking lot on the way to Tijuana and drove out and asked her if she enjoyed the theme park, she was mad for about a week.

 

ditto on the payments. my parents pay for my truck and insurance, once in a while, gas. but im gonna help them out this summer by working as much as i possibly can and paying for the truck for at least the summer. i mean, its $600 a month they spend on me. i think it was enough keeping me in the house for over 19 years, you know? lol. but see, my dad has this trucking company and the first 2 years, he was making over 100k. now its slow and making 50-75k. but i guess its enough still but in that business you dont get paid until 6+ months have passed. so we have over 50k sitting around in someone else's pocket. lol.
