I know thatfor most cars they make a adapter for that type of conversion check crutchfield.com

yeah, i ould go to a local audio store and see what they say. not a huge chain, but a little one that yu can trust by the looks of it. you know what im saying?

Yeah. Its going to be that or making them myself. At least from what I saw in crutchfield, I think I can make one out of MDF. I'll let you know and post pics.

If the audio shop is smart they are cutting their own. If you have the tools you can do it too.

I have used the ones Crutchfield sells in my Avenger and they worked great. Perfect fit.

Thinking it over, I think MDF and humidity dont go together. Did you get the METRA ones? how hard is the plastic? I'm afraid that with the weight of the woofer, the plastic will bend since its going in vertically.

MDF will be fine, done it lots of times in other cars. Let me ask you one question, you will put around $150speakers in the door, but not with MDF? Water is badfor either.

Well, they are supposed to withstand humidity, the speakers I mean. They are not paper cones. I still dont get the question thought? can you rephrase it?

The MDF will work just fine, used it lots of times and never had a problem. IMO it sounds alot better than plastic. While your in the doors you might aswell Dyno-matt them.
