Help!! Picking Out Wheels, Nightmare!!
Hey All,
I have a 2006 Ram MegaCab 1500 4x4. They are 8 Lug Wheels (Same as 2500).
I am looking for some aftermarket Wheels. I was interested in the MotoMetal 955, or 951's.
Both have a -12mm Backspacing.
I would prefer not to put on fender flairs, But the wheel's/Tire's can't stick out more than 1/4" from the fenders to be legal.
I am lost trying to understand offset/backspacing. I am looking for either 18", or 20" Wheels, I want atleast 7" of sidewall height, and I'd like to say under 12.75" of tire width, I am looking for a 34-35" tire.
The truck is stock height, but I am going to be adding the leveling kit, In the future I might raise the truck 4-5". I am told I can have 35" tires but the offset on the wheels has to be PERFECT or it will rub.
I obviously don't want to invest $2500 in wheels and tires to find out they rub, or stick out too far.
I don't know what to do, because I can't seam to find any solid answers, the info I am getting is quite different from one source to another.
I apperciate any help I can get!
Thanks,
-ThaChad

I don't own a 2500 soI can't tell you what fits and what doesn't but here is a great website that let's you plug in all different sizes for comparison, even backspacing. You can better understand how they will fit and look.
