Default Brake dust

Is there a product that can be installed behind the rim that will limit the amount of brake dust that gets on the wheel? If so who has them and can they be used on the stock 20's on an '06 1500

Upgrade your pads. The cheaper the pad the more dust it will produce. Check to see if you are running with a semi metallic or ceramic pad then go from there. Lots of people will try to save a buck and buy the pads that are around $30.00. They work, but they make a mess.

Any deflector product that will deflect the brake dust from coming thru will also prevent thr engineered cooling of the rotors. Say godbye to brake dust and hello to warped rotors. That and surface crackingis what happens as a direct result of overheating.

ceramics will require more pedal effort to apply the same amount of presure as semi metallics. they will also chew the hell out of your rotors and even more so if your hard on the brakes. 5000+ LBS doesnt stop easy

there is a product i use by michilin (sp) that you apply to your wheels and it helps repell brake dust....i use that and it seems to work well....also, try waxing your wheels after you clean them, ive heard this works well

i would NOT get one of those brake shields such as kleenwheels which blocks brake dust from getting on your wheels because they also block air from getting to your brakes and your brakes may get VERY hot...atleast thats what ive heard
