Hey folks...anyone out there have a 2004 Ram 1500 4x2 Laramie? If so, does your truck have a Laramie badge on the tailgate? How about the Ram's Head on the tailgate? Why am I asking stupid questions like this? 'Cause I just bought a used 04 Ram 1500. I noticed on the window sticker (the one that was on the truck when it was new) that it includes the Laramie badge. So, I asked my local dealer and he said it was only put on 4x4 trucks. I know I could buy one anyway .. but I am curious to know if the truck was SUPPOSED to have one to begin with. I know...who cares! Well, I do.

 

I'm pretty sure even a 2wd Laramie would have a badge. I've seen trucks with the "Dodge" on the left side of the tailgate, and if they aren't 4wd, they still have the SLT or Laramie badge on the right side of the tailgate. Does your tailgate have any badges on it? I've seen some trucks from the factory without tailgate badges.

 

densher, i have an 04 ram 4x2 as well except mine is a SLT and yes the 4x2 can have the laramie package....my 04 had the ram 1500 on the doors, DODGE on lower left corner of tailgate, and the SLT on the lower right hand corner...i bought mine brand new, i did the PDI on it at the dealer and thats exactly how it came from the factory....the only trucks i've seen with the dodge ram head on the tailgates were 05's and newer

 

i have a 4x2 Laramie. the dealer was lying to you. you ARE supposed to have one. if its the Laramie package, its supposed to have the badge too. thats bull **** if they say its only for 4x4's. that would mean only 4x4's have the Laramie package then, right? lol. go back and tell them they are wrong amigo!

 

There is one around town and it has it, plus mine does too but its 4x4.
