Viper-GTS, getting rid of the vehicle is not the issue... just wondering what the fuel economy is like with others. I have had my truck (it has the 4.7, and is 4x4, QC) 2 weeks now, and have run 3 tanks through it, I drive 80 miles per day, set the cruise to 60, and average 16 mpg. I only drive 5 miles per day in town.

My '03 4.7 L QC 2wd 3.92 rear will get 20 - 21 if I keep between 60 - 65 MPH. My daily commute will get me 16 - 16.5 average.

my 04 HEMI reg cab with 17's and 3.55 gets abou 21-22 MPG on the highway when it is flat and i am running at 70 if I move p to 75 or 80 it drops to 17 MPG. I am thinking about 3.92 and 20's but am a little leary about gas mileage... I do a lot of highway.

Has anyone tried a throttle body spacer or one of Fastman's throttle bodies on an 04 Hemi?

I have an 04 1500 Hemi QC SB with about 7300 miles on it. I switched to the K&N oil filters when I did my first oil change, and this past one I also switched to Mobil 1 Synthetic. I'm really not seeing any mileage gains from either of these. (should I?) I haven't made any other mods yet. (well, sprayed-on Linex liner, but no perf. mods)

I drive mostly local roads at 45mph (some stop & go), and average about 13.2 mpg. I'm not exactly easy on the gas, though. :-)

My couple of highway trips have gotten me 16 when I did 65. When I pushed that up to 75/80, I got about 14 (but made better time ;-) !)

At the top of a tank of fuel I seem to get better mileage. I don't know if I am truly getting better mileage or if it is simply an inaccuracy in the mpg calculator.

I have been told by many and have read manufacture articiles that state that Throttle body spacers do not increase anything , HP or MPG, they only give you a little better throttle response but nothing huge, and I believe you guys can find a better way to spend 100 bucks or whatever those things cost.

You all have it made!! I would kill to get 14mpg in the city! I can barely get that on the highway! My '94 ram w/a 5.9 gets a steady 10-11 mpg in the city(with a drop in K&N and dumped Flowmaster w/ no cat)

I have a 2004 Regular Cab 4.7L. When I first bought the truck I averaged 12 mpg in town. I added a Mac Performance cold air induction system and an Extang tonneau cover. That got me to 13mpg. Then I started playing with the exhaust. First a Magnaflow. Loud and a lot of resonation inside the cab but went to 14mpg. I went back to the muffler shop and they then put on a Flowmaster 50 series. Nice sound and mpg stayed the same. I wanted a little less sound so I went back and they installed a Dynomax Super Turbo. Great sound but I lost 2 mpg. All of these as a single exhaust using the factory pipe with the resonator. I then changed my oil to Mobil 1. Picked up 1 mpg. This week I will be going back to put another muffler on. I'm thinking duals this time since that is what I have always run and I think maybe I might be able to accomplish what I want easier. I was just trying to save some money. Dodge makes the best truck available they just can't seem to get gas mileage out of them. I have buddies with Ford's and Chevy's getting 17 to 20 mpg in town, but they are pieces of crap!
