Default Need exhaust help!!!

Im looking to do my exhaust within the next week. I just dont know which direction to go. I had an Orginal 40 Flowmaster on my 04 Ram HEMI and loved it. I just dont know about this whole MDS thing. I dont want my truck to sound like a tin can when it kicks in. What are you guy's experiances with the MDS? I want it loud and mean, but i dont want it to sound bad with the MDS. Any recommendations?

borlas are very very nice. They make your truck sound stockidling but are killer when you get on it. They sound even better when you add an intake too, it changed the sound on mine at least to a much more aggresive sounding systemand got rid of the drone around 2,000rpmswhich was my only problem with them. They are very expensive but well worth every penny. I dont know if they'll sound good with the MDS though. I know there is a few companies out there that make exhaust systems designed specifically for the MDS I just cant think of any off hand.

I meant to say I had an 04, but the way it is worded, i can see how it is confusing. But thanks for the advice anyway.

Here is what I have come to like.
I have a Flowmaster 50 and I left both resonators (front and rear) in the system.
I wanted a little more sound than what I got, but now I am really liking it.
Very very little difference when MDS kicks in. People that don't know, can't tell. Even after I tell them to listen for it. No in cab drone at all.

I can tell when the MDS kicks in, but I'm really trying tolisten for it. Hardly noticable though.

As for which muffler you go with is up to you and ye old wallet.

My Install required removal of the huge stock muffler and theinstall of the Flowmaster 50 and a piece of straight pipe to make up the differernce. $159 out the door.

I have an 06 with the hemi and mds, from the y-pipe back is a single 3 1/2 with borla xr1 race muffler, when the mds kicks in, it sounds like crap.

maybe because of the y-pipe. i think that the y-pipe sounds way bad compared to a regular pipe.
